This Privacy Policy explains how the DSP Rider mobile application (the "App") collects, uses, and shares information when you use features such as capturing videos and recording live location alongside those videos. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App's video or location features.
- Device information: model, OS version, device identifiers (non-personally-identifying), and app version to help us diagnose issues and improve compatibility.
- Usage data: anonymized analytics (crash logs, feature usage, and performance metrics) to improve the App and user experience.
- Video and audio recordings you create with the App when you use the video capture feature. If you enable the option to attach live location, the App will also record location coordinates (latitude, longitude, and timestamp) associated with the video.
- Optional information you provide: contact details, messages, or notes attached to a video when you submit it to us.
- To provide and maintain the App's core functionality and services.
- To process, store, and review videos for operational, safety, and incident reporting purposes.
- To associate captured video with location data when you have explicitly enabled that feature, for route validation, incident investigation, and safety monitoring.
- To respond to user requests, support inquiries, and scheduling.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the App (for example, analytics, hosting, or storage). We will only share the minimum data necessary and require those providers to protect your data.
We may disclose information when required by law or to protect safety and security.
We may use Google Firebase Analytics, Google Crashlytics, or similar providers to collect anonymized usage and crash data. These providers collect certain information automatically (device model, OS, app version, IP address) and process it according to their own privacy policies.
When you use the App's video capture feature, the App will request access to your device's camera and microphone via runtime permissions. If you choose the option to attach live location to a recording, the App will request access to your device's location (precise GPS) and will store coordinates and a timestamp alongside the recorded video.
Live location may be transmitted to our backend while recording if you enable real-time sharing; this is used only for the stated operational or safety purpose. You can disable location sharing at any time in the App or in your device settings, and you can decline camera/microphone permissions — note that declining required permissions will prevent video features from working.
Video files and associated location metadata are stored securely and accessed only by authorized staff or service providers when necessary (for example, to investigate incidents). We retain such recordings only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose (e.g., incident review) or as required by law.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. By using the App you acknowledge this limitation.
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
